Overview:

The Performance Circle is a three hour workshop Incorporating all that’s unique and fabulous about The Cheek of It! 

This January we will be shaking off 2020 and all that came with it and getting our shimmy on in celebration of better tings to come!

Lead by founder and head teacher of The Cheek of It! Herself Zoe will be combining Some Sacred Showgirl magic with our classic style of burlesque for an afternoon of awesome.

This special New Year class will explore the idea of Intention, in the way we perform and in the way we create our lives.

We believe that true alchemy and transformation happens in ‘the performing’ whether that be in class or on stage. This workshop will take us on a powerful, mind, body and soul journey, ending in the celebration of performance.

Meeting in a sisterhood circle, we will stretch, share and let go, creating a moment in time to just be.

Through movement we will come home to ourselves, our innate power, gifts and calling.

Through burlesque we will shimmy, wiggle, strut, bump, grind our way into this new year with as much mischief and cheeky fun as we desire.

The final part of the afternoon will then offer the opportunity to step into the circle and declare an intention you have created for 2021 to an abundance of cheers from your fellow participants.

This class will enable you to -shake it all out, -connect  -feel renewed excited and inspired -Get your performance fix.

Expect feel good movement, a safe place to share and connect, a whole lot of cheeky burlesque and the invitation to step into the limelight. The workshop will take place in the balcony studio at The Academy Mews, it’s a beautiful light and airy room that is cleaned before and after each class. we will limit the number of participants to allow us to follow social distancing guidelines. If you have a yoga mat please bring one, (there will be some disinfected ones available in the studio too) Please wear clothes you can move in, only bring water, eat a light lunch before you come. Suitable for all levels.

Should another lockdown occur or new guidance prevent us from running the workshop on the advertised date we reschedule the event and also offer a refund should you require one.
