A day at Principal Crumpet’s School for Girls:

The Cheek of It! delights in delivering an event that is all about you and your party. Your day will include a fun and cheeky burlesque workshop. A burlesque routine choreographed especially for you to learn. Glamorous hand crafted accessories. A photo / video shoot. Fabulous entertainment to enjoy over nibbles and bubbly… all tailored to your unique theme. And…the opportunity to perform what you have learned at a popular burlesque cabaret venue in front of a live audience that very night.

Creating Your Perfect Party: Starting with a telephone or face to face consultation, we find out about you and/or the person you are organising the event for and what exactly will make the day special. Then we settle on a theme for your burlesque workshop and performance. It may be that you want to learn to Charleston, or create a showgirl troupe, or it may be something personal like a funny story about the hen/birthday girl, a favourite song or movie star, or a symbol for the group like a peacock feather.

We then look at how you want your day to work and what you want to include. From a simple workshop to photo/video shoot, entertainment, makeover, tailor-made accessories, buffet, type of drinks and whether you want to do a performance or just go on to a club. Between this appointment and your event a choreographer creates your routine/act, finding or making a soundtrack to suit. A costumier creates your accessories. The right entertainers are found. And a venue for you to perform at – or go to – is arranged.

Example:

  • 2pm – Arrive at the workshop venue, meet the team and toast the day with a glass of bubbly
  • 2:00 – Take part in a Burlesque workshop.
  • 3:30 – Learn the burlesque routine that has been created for you.
  • 5:30 – Buffet, bubbly and entertainment.
  • 6:30 – Get ready for your photo shoot.
  • 8:00 – Leave Workshop venue to arrive at burlesque/cabaret venue.
  • 8:30 – Arrive at performance venue, sound check and rehearse.
  • 9:00 – Enjoy the show.
  • 10:30 – Perform your routine to rapturous applause.
  • 10:45 – Strut your stuff on the dance floor feeling like a true star.

Cost
