Winners of the First London Cabaret Awards Ceremony

WE WON!
We are delighted that Zoe Charles has won “Unsung Hero” at the First London Cabaret Awards Ceremony.
Last night on The Battersea Barge, London’s first cabaret awards took place admist mascara tears and the rolling tides, allegedly created by Somali pirates! Excess All Areas created this event to honour the very best in the cabaret scene. We were treated to a champagne reception and wonderful performances by the Four Femmes on the Thames, Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer and Josephine Shaker.
We would like to thank everyone that voted for Zoe. We have so much love and affection for everyone involved in The Cheek of It! and we really could not have done it without all your support. Zoe and The Cheek of It! team strive for excellence in all their endevours sprinkling lots of glitter and sparkle just for you!
*We were all ready to defend ourselves from the pirates with bag loads of glitter and charm!
Night with Miss Phoenix
Miss Phoenix, a Cheek of It! Graduate is hosting her own night of fabulous burlesque at the Hooga Bar in 16 Victoria Road, Chelmsford on the 15th of February 2012.
Step inside to be tranfixed by the fabulous vintage Hooga Lounge Bar and be prepared for lots of tease, humour and tantalization by Miss Phoenix and her beautiful guests!

Performance Skills Workshop
Due to the sell out success of our specialist fan dance workshop with Missy Malone, we are delighted to announce Bernadette Russell as the specialist teacher on the 11th of March 2012 (hosted by Lady Cheek and The Cheek of It! team).
Actor, Comedian, Writer and Founder of White Rabbit Theatre Company. Bernadette has toured extensively in theatre both in the UK and internationally. Bernadette produces a number of successful performance nights across London and is a regular Time Out favourite.

What this Master class offers:
No matter how sparkly your costume is, how accurate your victory roll or how brilliant an idea you have for your burlesque act,
non of it amounts to anything if you are not a skilled and entertaining performer. This workshop offers the opportunity to develop you performance skills specifically for the burlesque stage.
